Orienteering - Pastré countryside - Or the Frioul islands

Set on the verdant outskirts of the Pastré countryside, this orienteering activity offers a dynamic immersion into the heart of an exceptional natural environment, between hills, pine forests and shady paths. Designed for all ages, it combines discovery of the environment, an introduction to map reading and a fun sporting challenge.

Business presentation

Orienteering is an event in which participants have to find a series of markers scattered around the countryside, using a detailed map and sometimes a specific legend. The aim: to progress from point to point as efficiently as possible, in teams or individually, while choosing the best routes.

The activity begins with an introduction to the use of the card:

  • understanding symbols and legends;

  • interpret relief and terrain features;

  • identify scales, distances and points of interest ;

  • relate the map to the real terrain.

This is followed by a test run, allowing everyone to familiarize themselves with the equipment before moving on to the main run. All accompanied by an expert guide!

Procedure and possible formats

Depending on their size, participants are divided into pairs or small groups of 2, 3 or 4, encouraging mutual support, strategy and cohesion.

Two formats are available:

  • Traditional map format: find as many beacons as possible and optimize your route.

  • Photo rally format: follow a route with the help of photos of clues on the ground, a more accessible and fun variant.

The race can take place :

  • in the form of a friendly challenge between colleagues or friends,

  • in a timed challenge,

  • or on a discovery trail, with no notion of competition.

Iles du Frioul: for a total change of scenery and adventure

Ideal if you're looking for :

  • A spectacular setting: seascapes, white cliffs, coves and panoramic paths.

  • A change of scenery: a boat trip, an island atmosphere, an immediate break from everyday life.

  • A more "exploratory" activity: navigation in semi-mineral, open terrain, offering a different kind of map reading.

  • A "wow" effect for a corporate group, an EVJF or a camp looking for a memorable outing.

Key benefits :

  • Large-scale adventure

  • Photos, views and exceptional memories

  • A sense of escape, even for short periods

Points to consider:

  • A natural setting within easy reach of the city, with no time constraints.

  • A wide, varied and shaded area, perfect for all levels and all seasons.

  • Extremely versatile, adaptable for small and large groups

  • Shaded areas → excellent in hot weather
